Les Béquilles Du Cognitif (“Cognitive Crutches”) designs digital solutions dedicated to improving the health of vulnerable people and their families.
Social and Solidarity Economy Company, we innovate for people with cognitive deficits due to age, illness, disability or accidents of life (we call them the Carees), as well as people in relationship with them (Carers).
From a life situation as a Carer, an innovation is born.
In 2012, the personal situation experienced by Christian Bonidal, 64, helping his mother, observes that the elderly person loses the notion of time and access to her chronological memory. He realizes that many older people go through the same situation.
Engineer graduated from Saint-Cyr, Doctor in sociology, gifted MENSA, endowed with a “mild Asperger’s syndrome”, he then imagined a digital device that could serve as a “crutch” for the cognition of the elderly, with disabilities, or affected by a disease, who are victims of a chronological and functional breakdown.
He then imagined a unique solution: A.M.I® (Interactive Memory Assistant) to help caregivers help their loved ones.
In 2014, he created the company to carry out his project: 7 years of research and development later, AMI® was born!
